My research looks at Li-ion battery cathode materials using EEL spectroscopy and other characterization techniques in combination with material modeling to explore disordered rocksalt structures.
Bio
Originally from Iceland, I got my undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Iceland in 2021. During the program, I focused on computational chemistry and did some research with Prof. Skúlason at Atmonia on the computationally aided design of ammonia NRR catalysts. After my undergraduate studies, I spent one year in the United States at the University of California Santa Barbara attending the UCSB Extension program. I joined the group in 2022. My hobbies are reading, listening to music, and brewing coffee and I row for the Lincoln boat crew.
