Research

My project is the application of DFT for the interpretation and optimization of EM imaging of chemical bonding. The project focuses on 2D materials (single layer hexagonal boron nitride and TMD materials). The simulated phase images of 2D materials with different types of defects will be compared with experimental data to inform future experimental work.

Bio

I am a 4th year Materials Science undergraduate at Corpus Christi College.  I am doing my Part II project with Peter Nellist, Rebecca Nicholls and Jonathan Yates.
